Her story
How I got here

I came to this work sideways. I was making things long before I was supporting anyone, and for years I kept the two separate because I assumed they belonged in different parts of a life.
Placeholder: MEG'S STORY — to be written by Meg. This paragraph is a placeholder describing how she came to holistic practice, what she was doing before, and what changed.
What I noticed, over and over, was that people said the difficult thing while their hands were busy. Not at the start of a conversation, and rarely when asked directly — but twenty minutes into weaving, or halfway through mixing a colour they did not like.
So I stopped treating the making as a warm-up and started treating it as the work.
What I believe about this work
I do not believe people need to arrive with the perfect words. Sometimes the first step is simply having a space where nothing needs to be performed or explained.
I do not think I have answers for anyone. I have some materials, a quiet room, a reasonable amount of patience, and a habit of not filling silences.
I also think the cost of support decides who gets it, and that is the part I can actually do something about.
Place
The part nature plays
Most of the materials in the studio came from within walking distance of it — wool, plant dye, oak, grasses, clay. Working with them keeps the practice tied to a specific place and a specific month, which turns out to matter.
Some sessions happen outside entirely. Placeholder: OUTDOOR SESSION OPTIONS — to be confirmed by Meg.

The money question
Why therapy is donation-based
A set fee makes a decision about someone before they have met me. It sorts people quietly, on a website, into those who can and those who cannot.
So I took the number off. People choose what they give, and I genuinely do not know what that was until well afterwards. Workshops, artwork and books carry set prices, and between them they keep the practice running.
What matters here
What the practice runs on
No judgement
You will not be assessed, ranked, or told what you should have done differently.
Accessible cost
Therapy is donation-based so that money is not the thing that decides.
Honest limits
This is holistic support, not clinical care, and it is described that way everywhere on this site.
Slow work
Nothing here is designed to be efficient. That is deliberate.
